The beautiful Siberian cat – an icon in Russia, where the breed may be hundreds of years old, or even over 1,000 years old – has delighted cat fanciers around the world. Look for Siberian cats on Instagram, and you can join the thousands of followers who have discovered exquisite felines whose humans give them their own social media accounts. One celebrity cat – Tonic, who has appeared in films including the recent Caught Stealing – is a Siberian!

In Russia, folklore abounds about medium-length-coat Siberian cats, who supposedly told stories, sang songs, protected homes, and guided people to the underworld. Those are some compelling felines! So, enjoy spending hours on Instagram checking out these Siberians. Note that, of course, there are sure many more Siberian Instagram accounts I just didn’t see and that are worthy.

1. Avel and Cosima

With some 50.5K followers and more than 2,400 posts, these two Siberians on Instagram at @avelthesiberiancat amaze! These blue-eyed beauties live in the Netherlands. Both cats have long, silky fur, with Avel having darker gray color accents and Cosima being lighter. Avel and little sister Cosima snuggle here for a big dose of awwww. The cats live with a white dog brother named Floki, and they all look so cute together! This reel shows the three animals hanging out with funny music in the background.

What a handsome, regal-looking cat! Leo looks like a feline politician with his birthday bowties and more than 1.5K polished photos, which 12K followers have discovered on Instagram at @leo_the_siberian. His human describes the 12-year-old Leo as a Georgia Peach as well as a Whisker King. True to his name, Leo looks like a brown tabby miniature lion, and he is the king of his human’s castle.

In this adorable photo, we see Leo with his human mom and a new baby brother – the third human brother. In this funny side-by-side split photo, Leo resembles actor Steve Carell yelling. In this Christmas photo, Leo looks like a little reindeer under the tree.

Here is a beautiful photo of Sky, who has cream-colored fur with flame points. Here is Bon, an adorable tuxedo. Here is Cozy, a handsome brown tabby with white. Here is Stevie, a brown tabby sticking her head out of a play flower shop. Here is Barry as a baby Siberian kitten. Finally, Teddy shows team spirit for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers!

In this funny reel, Levante scratches his back and rolls around on a chair, with the fitting I Got You (I Feel Good) song playing in the background. Levante looks stunning as he poses for nature photos, like here, where he is backed by snow-capped mountains.

The more than 1K posts live on at this page, which serves as a tribute to the almighty cat Zeus, who lived in Singapore.

In this sweet photo of Zeus sporting hip sunglasses in a beachy setting, his human writes him a beautiful letter about how much the cat is missed, and how much Zeus would enjoy being a big brother to three human children in the family. Awww.
